The Association of Small and Medium Industries of the Automotive Component Industry – Indonesia (PIKKO Indonesia) which was formed in September 2015 is as a forum to respond to the government’s expectations as stated in the Nawacita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2014, one of which wants to make “Independent SMEs/SMEs in the Manufacturing Industry” PIKKO Indonesia as an association/association (2nd tier and 3rd tier) want to participate in efforts to solve the main problems related to the Small-Medium Component Industry Automotive where every year the 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers automotive component industry experiences an increase in production.

PIKKO Indonesia was born because we realized that SMEs in the automotive component industry need a communication space, especially with the government and the Brand Holding Agent Industry (APM) because there are many things that must be fixed, namely related to technology, raw materials, funding, superior human resources and an integrated area which requires a special communication space with the government and the Brand Holding Agent Industry (APM) so that SMEs/SMEs can fill the business niche in their own country.

PIKKO Indonesia will continue to try to synergize with regional heads (PEMDA) of West Java and Central Java to be able to provide industrial zoning land so that the production of SMEs/SMEs can be integrated with the area of large companies (er 1) logically and cheaply. This Directory book was prepared in line with the issuance of Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2022 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, concerning the Acceleration of Increasing the Use of Domestic Products and Products of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives in order to succeed the National Movement Proud of Made in Indonesia in the Implementation of Government Procurement of Goods and Services. This is a great opportunity for Manufacturing SMEs/SMEs to innovate with guidance from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and the Indonesian Ministry of SMEs and relevant sector ministries to prepare Smart Factories and Supply Chains to the automotive component industry and the needs of the component industry in other priority industrial sectors. For this reason, PIKKO Indonesia in carrying out its function as an association will strive to build communication, collaboration and partnership with the Government and Sole Agent of Brand Holder (ATPM/OEM) in order to create greater capabilities and competitiveness in the era of digitalization for SMEs/SMEs in the field of automotive components entering the era of change to ECO GREEN, namely motorcycles and electric cars for domestic and global purposes.

In addition, PIKKO Indonesia as an automotive component manufacturing SME/SME also wishes to participate in meeting the needs of industrial components and localization of machinery with the utilization of available capacity supported by qualified engineering infrastructure that is and still has the energy to collaborate with industry and machinery associations from developed countries such as Japan, Korea and China for the transfer of machinery technology and others.
